About the team and the role:

We are looking for a trusted Finance Analyst in the Global Shipping Finance team! Based in San Jose, CA, you will support all financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes for eBay Global Shipping team, establishing clear and open framework for evaluating the business trends and impact of initiatives. What you will accomplish:

  • Responsible for the monthly financial close, journal entries, accurate reporting of expenses, and managing the headcount targets, whilst assuring financial compliance. 

  • Financial planning and reporting (monthly forecasting, annual budgeting and strategic long-term planning) 

  • Understand accounting policies and accurate financial reporting/forecasting for capital expenditures 

  • Provide monthly reports comparing actual trends against budget and forecast assumptions for each business 

  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas of potential risk. 

  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders. 

  • Can use various systems and tools for appropriate data gathering consolidation and analysis of financial data vital for management reporting. 

  • Accurately and timely prepare monthly management reports and assist with additional Ad Hoc reporting requirements by collaborating with cross-functional teams and analyzing existing data. 

  • FA Cost Management supporting the month end close process, including booking accruals, cost center management, and flux analysis  

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting, Economics, or a related field 

  • 3+ years of experience in Finance 

  • Experience with financial systems and tools such as SAP 

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other financial software 

  • Ability To work with deadlines 

  • Self-starter who shows the desire to learn and has a great intellectual curiosity

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York is expected in the range below.

$88,000 - $137,500

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
