ServiceNow Junior Developer
About the Role
We’re looking for a ServiceNow Junior Developer to help build and maintain platform features. This role is ideal for someone with basic technical skills who wants hands‑on development experience. You’ll work with senior developers on enhancements and day‑to‑day tasks across multiple modules.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing features mainly in ITSM and ITAM.
- Work on Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, and simple Flow Designer logic.
- Write basic HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, or AngularJS with guidance.
- Help build or update Scripted REST APIs, Glide scripts, and simple integrations.
- Support upgrades, patches, and basic testing.
- Troubleshoot routine issues and document fixes.
- Help build catalog items, record producers, and workflow automation.
- Maintain data accuracy in CMDB and other key tables.
- Document technical changes clearly.
- Work with teams to understand requirements and turn them into tasks.
Core Skills
- Basic JavaScript (client and server).
- Familiarity with Glide APIs or willingness to learn.
- Exposure to Flow Designer or workflow tools.
- Basic understanding of Scripted REST APIs.
- General awareness of CMDB structure.
- Interest in Service Portal or UI customization.
- Basic understanding of ACLs and access control.
- Familiarity with ITIL concepts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2–4 years of ServiceNow or similar platform experience.
- Basic understanding of platform architecture and development practices.
- Experience in Agile or hybrid environments is helpful.
- CSA certification or willingness to pursue it.
- Good communication skills.
