Per Diem Surgery Physician Assistant

As a Per Diem Surgical PA, you’ll collaborate with world-class surgeons and multidisciplinary teams in a hospital that pioneered surgical teaching in the U.S. Our Department of Surgery continues a proud tradition of innovation, offering advanced and minimally invasive procedures across multiple specialties.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide comprehensive care for surgical patients admitted to the hospital
• Perform consults, manage floor duties, and assist with OR coverage
• Work Monday–Friday with no nights, weekends, or holidays

Specialties You’ll Support:
General Surgery, Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic, Upper GI & Small Bowel, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Vascular Surgery, and Urology

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ year experience in surgical or critical care medicine

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies
• NYS PA Licensure
• Current NCCPA Certification
• ACLS/BLS
• NYS Infection Control Certification
• DEA Certification with NYS Opioid Prescriber compliance
