Yahoo is building a world class marketing team to position the brand for relevance and growth. The Sr Director, Yahoo Finance Marketing will report directly to the Chief Marketing Officer and will be responsible for leading brand and product marketing for Yahoo Finance.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Oversee brand positioning and unique insights for global Yahoo Finance brand to inspire distinct campaign work that grows traffic while building the brand for the long-term.

  • Drive growth across channels and partner with media and CRM teams to deliver results.

  • Be the key partner to the Yahoo Finance team, staying informed of their needs and collaborating to provide effective plans to achieve goals.

  • Align with Consumer Insights to develop research objectives, key learnings, and action plans. Mine for unique insights to strengthen work and drive innovation.

  • Lead consumer driven marketing calendar and partner with key cross-functional partners to execute the plan.

  • Lead team to launch creative partnerships and action plans that can grow subscriptions. 

  • Regularly report on marketing performance to the executive team, providing actionable insights and recommendations for improvement.

  • Mentor and develop team members to drive individual and collective growth.

Qualifications:

  • 12+ years experience with demonstrated success in brand and product marketing with proven experience in developing and executing successful marketing strategies that have driven results.

  • 7+ years experience in leadership; successful candidates should have a track record of building and leading high-performing marketing teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.

  • Marketer who is fluent in digital growth with a growth hacking mentality. 

  • Demonstrated ability to make data-driven decisions; with the ability to also leverage data insights to inform marketing strategies, measure campaign effectiveness, and optimize marketing spend. 

  • A strong commitment to a customer-centric approach, with the ability to put the customer at the center of marketing strategies.

  • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for identifying market trends and opportunities.

  • Ability to articulate complex marketing strategies and concepts clearly and persuasively to both internal and external audiences.

  • An innovative mindset with a history of implementing creative and cutting-edge marketing campaigns and initiatives that have delivered tangible results.

The compensation for this position ranges from $150,015.00 - $326,390.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives. Yahoo has a high degree of flexibility around employee location and hybrid working. In fact, our flexible-hybrid approach to work is one of the things our employees rave about.
