What You Will Do:
Guidehouse is seeking a Strategic Communications Consultant to join our Defense and Security Segment, where they will play a key role supporting the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) with the development of strategic artifacts, process analyses; briefings, infographics, and data visualizations for executive, management, and staff-level audiences; and plan to help prioritize and manage office-level and program-level communications.

Day-to-day tasks include some or all of the following:

  • Creating strategic communications materials that articulate the client’s mission, vision, roadmap/implementation plans, and other messages to internal and external stakeholders

  • Monitoring, tracking, and prioritizing requests for communications products across multiple programs and stakeholders.

  • Create tailored communication products on office-level strategic initiatives and specific programs to include briefings, slick sheets, infographics, data visualizations, and updates to existing communication materials.

  • Collaborating with staff across the project and work streams to support the client and project team in the development and implementation of communications and related materials that support other program needs.

  • Assisting other work streams in a broad range of program management, strategy and transformation, process improvement, operating model design, and other advisory support services as time allows beyond strategic communications support needs.

  • Support multiple, concurrent tasks, while ensuring technical accuracy, adherence to standards, and timely delivery of all products


What You Will Need:

  • US Citizenship and the ability to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a federal or DHS Public Trust 

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • FIVE (5) or more years of experience in consulting, marketing, communications, program/project management, or process improvement experience

  • Demonstrated experience developing MS PowerPoint Briefings for Senior Executives

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills



What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • THREE (3) or more years of communications and/or public relations experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel 

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and quick-turn deliverables

  • Active Public TSA Trust

  • Direct experience or familiarity with Transportation Security industry

  • Ability to take complex concepts, create a clear and concise message, and adjust messaging according to internal or external stakeholders and audiences
