nVent is seeking an accomplished Global Credit & Collections Associate Director, a key leadership role responsible for shaping nVent’s global credit strategy, strengthening financial risk management, and driving world‑class operational performance across regions.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

People & Process Leadership:

  • Lead and develop Regional Credit & Collections and AR leaders, ensuring strong talent development and succession planning.
  • Oversee the global AR lifecycle with effective controls across people, processes, systems, and transactional services.
  • Monitor and report KPIs, metrics, and SLAs to drive productivity and operational performance.
  • Resolve transactional issues and manage escalated customer concerns with appropriate solutions.
  • Conduct performance reviews and support employee development.
  • Partner with Segment CFOs and business leaders to communicate risks, analyze results, and provide forward looking forecasts.
  • Drive credit strategy that supports growth while managing buyer and country risk; advise on contract terms, credit programs, and process design.
  • Oversee credit and collections activities, including past due management and adherence to company policies.
  • Execute regional collection strategies that balance risk and effective collection practices.
  • Ensure compliant collateral documentation and participate in high visibility collection matters (bankruptcies, workouts, customer visits).
  • Lead process improvement and automation initiatives within Transactional Services.
  • Advance nVent’s culture and Win Right values through leadership and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service to resolve AR issues and maintain strong cross-functional alignment.
  • Drive order-to-cash process innovation and cross-functional improvements to enhance customer experience.
  • Represent Credit & Collections in acquisitions, integrations, and ERP transitions.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Deliver high quality credit and financial analysis with clear recommendations.
  • Lead timely review and submission of month-end AR reporting for close processes, including bad debt reserve analysis.
  • Produce accurate cash forecasts and variance analyses at the collector, segment, and regional levels.
  • Maintain and publish performance dashboards (KPIs, metrics, SLAs) and interpret results to ensure alignment with organizational expectations.
  • Contribute to cash management, cash projection, and receivables turnover (DSO) analysis.
  • Support Sales and Finance teams with customer negotiations related to terms and conditions.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the onsite Office Manager for the location, acting as a resource for employees and supporting local operational needs.

YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Certified Credit designation preferred.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in Commercial Credit and Accounts Receivable.
  • 10+ years of leadership experience managing teams.
  • Global experience, Manufacturing Industry and Public Company, strongly preferred.
  • Experience with GETPAID, SAP, and JDE is an advantage.
