I.T. Computer Operator

Springhill Medical Center via Altera Managed Services

 

Altera managed services IT Team located at Springhill Medical Center in Mobile, Alabama is seeking entry-level candidate with IT experience.  You will join a highly motivated IT team responsible for daily operations, maintenance and implementations of new systems. This includes systems such as the clinical EHR, financial management, supply chain management, payroll/human resource, interface engines and more.  The positions provide a range of technical and functional software services.  This is an exciting opportunity to work for one of the largest healthcare information technology companies. Altera Digital health provides managed services to Springhill Medical Center’s facilities and is located on the hospital’s main site in beautiful midtown Mobile, AL.

 

Summary: The IT Computer Operator is responsible for supporting business processes and developing/maintaining technical systems.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Database Administrators, Developers and Engineers with daily processes and maintenance of technical systems
  • Troubleshoot basic-to-complex technical issues while providing thorough documentation and excellent communication to the customer
  • Codes, tests, debugs, implements, and documents programs or technical configuration
  • Ensure programs meet technical specifications and standards
  • Interact with Business and clinical representatives during the software build or configuration and testing process
  • Perform technical application configuration and configure /run reports at user request
  • Assist in resolving support calls escalated by the Service Desk
  • Identify the common causes of the defects, prioritize them and systematically remove them so that they do not reoccur in further development work

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Associate/Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or other relevant combination of training and experience.
  • 2-5 years industry experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, strong analytical and technical capabilities, stay current with technology trends a must
  • Ability to easily learn and support new systems and applications
  • Thorough attention to detail, superb work ethic, organized with great time management skills
  • Must be authorized to work in the US

Duration: Full-Time
