A Brief Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Clinical Nurse Consultant. As a Clinical Nurse Consultant, you will play a crucial role in providing expert clinical guidance and leadership to enhance patient care outcomes, promote staff development, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

What you will do:

  • Serve as a clinical expert in a specific area of nursing practice, providing guidance and support to nursing staff.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to assess and improve patient care protocols and practices.
  • Conduct educational sessions, workshops, and in-service training for nursing staff to enhance their clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Mentor and coach nurses to promote professional growth and excellence in patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, data analysis, and the development of evidence-based care protocols.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
  • Ensure adherence to hospital policies, state and federal regulations, and accreditation standards.
  • Provide guidance on compliance issues and assist in regulatory audits and inspections.
  • Advocate for the highest quality of care for patients and families.
  • Address patient and family concerns and assist in resolving any issues related to care.
  • Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in nursing practice.
  • Assist in the implementation of evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of education sessions, quality improvement initiatives, and compliance efforts.
  • Generate reports and data analysis to track progress and outcomes.

What you will need:

  • Bachelors Degree Nursing Required Or
  • Masters Degree Nursing Preferred
  • 5+ Years of clinical nursing experience, with expertise in the relevant specialty.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license. Required
  • Prior nursing experience, evidence of leadership, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills.  Must demonstrate competency in the care of all patient age groups.
  • ED experience a plus.
