The Senior Academic Program Services Specialist manages course scheduling and curriculum processes for the Department of History, while supporting African American and African Studies and the Leadership major. The role ensures schedules and academic plans meet university and program requirements and support faculty and students.
Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining semester and annual course schedules, entering data into the SIS, coordinating classroom assignments, and optimizing instructional resources. The specialist monitors enrollments, analyzes trends, and recommends adjustments to improve course delivery and efficiency.
They oversee curriculum updates (new courses, revisions, withdrawals), maintain records, and serve as the liaison to the college curriculum office. The role also manages Lecturer scheduling and hiring coordination.
The specialist analyzes enrollment data, prepares reports, and communicates findings to faculty and leadership. They act as a liaison to university offices, respond to inquiries, and ensure accurate, timely communication.
Additional duties include providing guidance to another department, maintaining faculty resources, supporting program development, and handling administrative tasks such as graduation support, exam coordination, proctoring, and textbook orders.

The salary range for this position is 55,700.00 - 72,700.00, based on internal equity and candidate qualifications.
