Job Description Summary:
The Senior Consultant, Content translates strategies into written solutions to enhance brand visibility for the OhioHealth Foundation and External Affairs. The position will write consistently on-brand, effective copy, intended to engage a variety of audiences through diverse channels.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Advertising, journalism, communications degree, or related discipline.
- Seven to ten years of experience in corporate, agency or nonprofit setting.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE
- Excellent writing and editing skills.
- Experience and competency to develop dynamic content for various communications channels (print and digital).
- Flexible and open, works well in a matrix and/or changing environment.
- Good prioritization and time management skills, extremely organized, detail oriented, and ability to multitask.
- Ability and willingness to work under pressure; meet strict timelines and budgets, and to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
DESIRED ATTRIBUTES
- Experience with a Foundation or nonprofit organization.
- Experience in the healthcare industry preferred but not required.
- Advanced Microsoft Office proficiencies including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with suite of Adobe creative tools and software.
- Familiarity with project management software such as Workfront.
- Demonstrable knowledge of best practices and industry trends for effective fundraising proposal writing and marketing communications tactics.
- Possesses strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Strategic approach to problem solving.
- Personable presence, demeanor, and the desire to work face-to-face with internal and external stakeholders.
- Initiates work can work independently and is also a team player.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
65% Content Creation
- Contribute to proposal writing efforts, ensuring content is aligned with fundraising goals and effectively communicates key messages for prospective donors or corporate sponsors.
- Collaborate with the team to create compelling content for various channels, including digital platforms (website, blogs, social media) and print materials (fundraising appeals, annual reports, community engagement pieces, event collateral).
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to gather information and ensure accurate representation and articulation of organization’s brand and mission in marketing and promotional materials.
- Proofread and edit content created for both internal and external audiences, driving awareness to the Foundation and External Affairs.
25% Project Management
- Utilizing project management tools, ensures marketing communications tactics and content collateral are delivered on-time and on-budget, and meet desired outcomes.
- Communicates to team and leadership, status for marketing communications pieces, fundraising proposals, and long-range projects to ensure optimal productivity and efficiency.
- Ability to collaborate with internal and external creative teams to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
- Ensures quality and accuracy of content pieces from concept to completion.
10% Special Projects
- Supports Marketing Communications Manager on projects and initiatives that enhance and extend external reputation and philanthropic efforts.
