Synopsis of the role

The Summer 2026 Commercial Data Quality Analyst Co-op is a 15-week program at Equifax's Chief Data Office (CDO), offering university students meaningful projects, senior leader exposure, and a path to a full-time career. The CDO is an essential unit within Equifax's Data and Analytics organization, with Data Quality being critical to revenue generation and overall business strategy. The Co-op supports data management in the Canadian Data Library, ensuring data is of the best quality. Key responsibilities include investigating, correcting, and preventing data issues. The role is crucial for growth, seeking a tenacious, creative, curious individual with an appetite for innovative business leadership.

  • The 15 week co-op  program runs from May 5th 2026 to August 20th 2026.

  • Co ops are required to follow our hybrid onsite policy of  Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday - onsite for the duration of the 15 - week program. 

  • Monday and Friday are remote work days. 

  • Co ops must be local to the Montreal area and have the ability to commute to our office in Toronto Montreal  based on where the role is.

What you’ll do

  • Analyze and evaluate data quality issues, clarifying root causes and recommending corrective and preventative actions

  • Support and create automated data quality checks on data at rest to identify areas of errors requiring further investigation.

  • Work with the Data Steward and the data modernization team to establish Continuous improvement

  • Analyze data and provide data quality assurance for support teams.

  • Maintain documentation and share knowledge base.

What experience you need

  • Demonstrate ability to understand cloud-native  projects 

  • Knowledge in private, public and hybrid cloud architecture, networking, workload types, migration patterns and tools

  • Experience with databases (sql, no-sql)

  • Working knowledge of Git, CI/CD and Dashboard tools (Looker, Jenkins, GO,...)

  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of data analysis methods and the ability to analyze and resolve complex data related issues (SQL, Google Big Query, Python, Hadoop, etc.).
