Job Description:

Working with the Service Delivery Governance Unit, the Quality, Compliance and Safe Service Management Officer assists in ensuring a robust clinical and operational governance and quality framework is in place across St Vincent’s Care. The role will assist in ensuring compliance with Australian Aged Care Quality Agency Accreditation Standards and that all risks are managed as part of the quality framework.

This position will work collaboratively with the Service Delivery Governance Unit to get the best outcomes for our consumers and staff. The Quality, Compliance and Safe Service Management Officer will be responsible for monitoring quality activities and clinical governance and the development of policies and processes that influence these outcomes and ensure compliance.

Seeking a Registered Nurse with aged care experience and a quality/continuous improvement mindset for this role. This is a full time position and offers fantastic work-life flexibility, with hybrid working arrangements (Bowen Hills Office- Residential Aged Care Facilities- working from home). Key responsibilities of the role: 

  • Working with the Team Leader in the development, implementation, maintenance and review of business Policies & Procedures to ensure their compliance with internal standards & legislation.
  • Support the Team Leader in the identification of new initiatives to improve sustainability in the unit.
  • Support management of policies & procedures.
  • Support for other Services Delivery Governance teams’ requirements or systems.
  • Monitoring quality activities and clinical governance
  • Conduct Gap analysis within Aged Care homes

Things that work for us: 

  • Registered Nursing Degree with unrestricted AHPRA registration
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in residential aged care.
  • Comprehensive understanding of aged care Quality Standards.
  • Previous experience in the development of policies and processes
  • Proficiency in clinical management systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Stakeholder management, conflict resolution, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in implementing a care management system or upgrades – adherence to schedule and scope.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work both as a team player and on their own.
  • Energetic, dynamic, with effective time management skills.
  • Current National Police Certificate.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check may be a requirement of this role
  • Willingness to travel as needed
