What you'll do:

Our Warehouse Lending teams provide and support mortgage banking to companies with short-term, secured revolving credit that enables mortgage bankers to fund and inventory residential mortgage loans until they can be purchased by permanent investors.

What you will do:

As a Senior Mortgage Warehouse Specialist in the Collateral group, you are responsible for supporting Warehouse Lending Operations and ensuring loan operation activities run smoothly and efficiently.   Key tasks include:

  • Certifying the quality of collateral packages, including reviewing for appropriate documentation and filing of key loan documents into storage.
  • Actively participates in shipping of collateral packages to investors, including pulling loan files from storage, preparing shipping labels and ensuring documentation accuracy and quality control reviews.
  • Running daily reports to ensure collateral location is confirmed, as expected.
  • Providing superior customer service and appropriate follow-up with institutional customers and internal Bank business partners to create a successful, sustainable operation of the Warehouse Lending group.
  • Actively participate in assuring quality control in regards to audits and certifications.
  • Consistently applies superior decision-making  pertaining to inquiries, approvals, and requests pertaining to collateral as they apply to existing policies and procedures.

What you need to have:

  • High school diploma or equivalents is required
  • 1-2 years of experience in the banking or financial industry including loan processing, closing or a similar function is a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of general banking operations, real estate process and corresponding documentation.
  • Advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • High volume, transactional based operational background is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining an attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills. Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Advanced skills and knowledge of computer terminal operations; including Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
