Job Purpose

Oversee the transactional processing services department for the brokerage business unit, ensuring efficient management of the entire transaction processing cycle.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leadership: Directly manage credit, invoice distribution, cash application, and collections teams, focusing on maximizing working capital through collaborative projects.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with various internal teams and clients to enforce billing practices and policies.
  • Process Improvement: Ensure effective utilization of processing, invoicing, and collections systems by implementing timely updates for billing edits and payments. Drive efficiency and enhancements across all functions, maximizing the use of systems and automation capabilities to streamline processes.
  • Performance Metrics: Define and measure key performance indicators (KPIs) on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Organizational Transformation: Lead initiatives affecting team dynamics and structures.
  • Reporting: Prepare financial and statistical reports to support decision-making.
  • Accounting Integration: Understand how transactional processing integrates with and reconciles to the general ledger.
  • Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with General Managers and leadership for informed decision-making.
  • Team Support: Assist in hiring, training, and performance evaluation of team members.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay informed on company activities, industry trends, and regulatory changes.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience, with logistics or transportation experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of people management experience.
  • Background in cash management, billing, invoicing, operations, or finance.
  • Proven ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong data analysis skills
