WHAT YOU WILL DO

As member of our Fund Legal & Governance team, you will report to the Fund Legal Director. You will showcase your success through collaboration, ownership and innovation. Your expertise in emerging trends and practices will evoke stimulating discussions around optimization and change to help keep our competitive edge.

This is a rare opportunity for a student to gather a meaningful experience in an exciting role within a top global Real Estate Asset Manager.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

  • Supporting your team members in daily base tasks
  • Updating and maintaining legal entity databases based on legal supporting documents
  • Developing and maintaining processes for the legal entity databases and good governance practises
  • Participate in the review and update of legal documentation
  • Taking and drafting minutes or resolutions when needed
  • Supporting any related work of several alternative investment funds from a legal administration and governance perspective including taking care of AML/KYC requests
  • Collaborating efficiently and effectively with third party service providers. Help your team members or line manager to prepare service agreements, fees schedules, operating memorandums.
  • Communicating with other members of the team, fund controllers, investors/clients, tax advisors, banks, auditors, law department and outside legal counsels.
  • Assisting for the opening of bank accounts and designation of bank authorities/signatory powers (or supervision thereof).
  • Supporting and coordinating the execution of the legal documents by the Directors in electronic and wet-ink version
  • Assisting for timely registrations at the Chamber of Commerce and other obligatory registrations and filings.
  • Any other related tasks.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Strong academic background: the ideal candidate is pursuing a master’s degree preferably in business law or business administration 
  • Good Excel skills and competence with other Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to adapt
  • Good interpersonal skills, team player, capability to interface professionally with various internal and external stakeholders
  • Clear and strong English verbal and written communication skills required; French, German or Italian is an advantage
  • Self-starter and strong team player who is inquisitive and self-motivated
  • General familiarity with European financial regulation, investments and financial markets

  • Knowledge of the AIFMD is a strong plus
