About the Team

Order Management System (OMS) is a collection of integrated services that support the complete order management life cycle from order creation to post-fulfillment modifications. This system encompasses order load, allocation,release,demand, order modifications, order processing, order returns for end customer and Lowe’s associate through the entire order life cycle. The team is responsible to build scalable solutions for Lowe’s services and customers, ensuring seamless experiences across various omni-channel platforms.

Job Summary

As a software engineer, the primary purpose of the role is to translate business requirements and functional specifications into logical program designs and to deliver code modules, stable application systems, and software solutions. This includes developing, configuring, or modifying integrated business and/or enterprise application solutions within various computing environments. This role facilitates the implementation and maintenance of business and enterprise software solutions to ensure successful deployment of released applications.

Roles & Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities:

Code Development: Writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code in programming languages (preferably Java 8+). Debugging: Identifying and fixing bugs in the existing codebase. This also includes troubleshooting issues in production and development environments. Code Review: Participating in code reviews to maintain code quality and learn from peers. Learning and Training: Continuously learning new technologies and tools relevant to their role. This could be through training, self-study, or mentorship. Documentation: Documenting code and technical designs to ensure maintainability and knowledge sharing. Collaboration: Collaborating with team members to deliver software projects. Testing: Writing and executing unit tests and assisting in system and integration testing to ensure the software’s functionality.
