Sr. Change Specialist, Stores Technology Operations, Brampton, ON
Does change management and the drive for stability in a complex retail environment excite you? If so, we are seeking an experienced Senior Specialist to manage the change process within our Retail IT landscape. You will become our champion for change; assisting in providing overall governance, change conflict analysis, change intake and creation of change management activities. The ideal candidate will be representing the stores technology team in various change management forums, aligning stakeholders across all levels of the organization, and ensuring smooth, efficient deployments discussing risk and impact. Stability will always be at the forefront of your role looking for successful and seamless retail IT operations.
What You’ll Do:
Lead the end-to-end change process from the store’s technology team ensuring accuracy and excellence from keying all change records to accurately understanding the stores technology landscape to assess potential change conflict across many organizational changes.
Create, document, and track changes for all retail implementations, including new store openings, application upgrades, and other retail-specific IT deployments.
Serve as a key representative for Stores IT on change management calls, advocating for store’s needs, and ensuring smooth alignment between project objectives and operational requirements.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, IT operations, and external vendors, to identify, prioritize, and resolve any technical or logistical challenges.
Monitor the change management lifecycle, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices to enhance process efficiency.
Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess success, gather feedback, and integrate lessons learned into future initiatives.
Drive process improvement and Automation.
What You Bring:
Strong ability to prioritize workload, cross coordinate with your IT peers, and consistently delivering high-quality outcomes.
Skilled at identifying root causes of issues, implementing corrective actions swiftly, and minimizing disruptions. Innate curiosity to learn new skills to improve job function.
Exceptional relationship-building skills, fostering collaborative environments that promote teamwork, shared vision, and collective commitment to organizational goals. Ability to question information presented respectfully, maintaining core view of stability.
Demonstrated experience in refining processes for better efficiency, particularly within change management, and the ability to introduce best practices, automation, and innovative approaches.
Proven experience with the principles of ITIL Incident Management, Problem Management, Knowledge Management and Change Management in a large integrated organization (ITIL certification is an asset)
Reporting and Analytical skills with various applications such as ServiceNow, Advanced Excel Skills
Background in technology systems and/or hardware is a must.
Service Now change module experience and Retail Industry experience are assets.
