Position Summary:

Supervise the Company's production team on second shift, (Monday-Thursday 3:00pm-2:00am with additional weekend coverage as needed) in accordance with established policies, procedures, and objectives with consideration to the safety, efficiency, harmony and overall wellbeing of the Company and its employees.

Work You’ll Do:

  • Develop, maintain and motivate an effective work force by supervising the production team.
  • Adhere to established production schedules and maintain manufacturing efficiency and quality against established standards.
  • Recommend means of improving product quality in cooperation with the Quality Assurance Department.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and recommend ways of increasing productivity through improved methods, equipment, or other means.  Identify root cause of issues and coordinate permanent corrective action.
  • Comply with the union-management labor agreement.  Participate in the administration of the agreement in such specific capacities as may be assigned.
  • Maintain safe working conditions in accordance with company and governmental safety regulations and codes.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and adhere to authorized budgets.
  • Support product development and design activities.  Expedite & coordinate prototype testing as required.
  • Develop and complete action plans toward the accomplishment of the goals and objectives of the Company’s Business Plan.
  • Actively participate in lean/continuous improvement activities to improve Company processes and products.
  • Other duties may be assigned.


Team:

Supervisory team consisting of 5 on 1st shift, 2 on 2nd shift, plus EHS & Maintenance Leader and Fabrication Manager

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent from a college or university in business, operations, or other related field; and a minimum of  2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with an emphasis in operations management and production supervision.  Intermediate Microsoft Office skills and intermediate level communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Basic experience in manufacturing environment and Working knowledge of an ERP system (Great Plains preferred)
