We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Security Solution Architects to play a critical role in supporting our Cyber Remediation Program at St Vincent’s Health Australia.

You will be responsible for designing and implementing security solutions across multiple domains, developing security assessments, establishing standards, and defining technical requirements to enhance our cybersecurity posture. In addition to the expertise you will bring, you will join an experienced, engaged and dedicated Project team that is committed to upholding the security and safety of those we serve under St Vincent’s Health Australia.

Based in our Group Office Melbourne, this position will be offered on a Fixed Term Full-Time 12 month arrangement.

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Responsible for the design and architecture of security solutions to support the Cyber Remediation Program
  • Develop and maintain security standards, guidelines and technical requirements aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security solutions are integrated efficiently and effectively into existing infrastructure and workflows
  • Use your strong communication skills to engage relevant colleagues and stakeholders, listen actively and clearly convey ideas
  • Provide expertise and guidance as a subject matter expert (SME) on security architecture principles, methodologies and tools to relevant stakeholders and mentor junior team members on these matters
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and trends in Cyber Security, recommending enhancements to existing security architecture as needed

Things that work for us:

  • Ability to develop technical architecture and design documentation and communicate effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders within a large complex program
  • Translate requirements to technical design and support implementation of solutions within one or multiple projects including but not limited to domains listed below
  • Technical expertise in 3 or more of the security domains and technologies
    • Azure security design and architecture
    • M365 security configuration and design
    • Endpoint Security including Application Hardening, Application Control, SOE security, Mobile device management
    • Security logging and monitoring with SIEM tools ideally Log Rhythm
    • Network Access Security and Segmentation
  • Proven experience of 3-5 years in a security architect role in a similar, large scale and complex organisation or environment
  • An analytical thinker with excellent communication skills
  • A specialist in your field with a reputation for delivering strategy and technology focused project outcomes
  • The ability to demonstrate how opportunities will improve our performance and achieve and project goals
  • Bachelor or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar related field
  • National Criminal History Check (within the last 6 months)
