Summary:
As an Application Support Engineer, you will act as software detectives, providing a dynamic service that identifies and resolves issues within various components of critical business systems. Your typical day will involve collaborating with team members to troubleshoot problems, analyzing system performance, and ensuring the seamless operation of applications that are vital to business functions. You will engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide timely solutions, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the organization.
Roles & Responsibilities:
•Deploy, configure, and manage Fortinet wireless products including FortiAP access points, FortiWLC (Wireless LAN Controllers), and integration with FortiGate firewalls.
•Monitor and troubleshoot wireless network performance, connectivity, and security issues.
•Implement wireless security protocols such as WPA2/WPA3, 802.1X authentication, and guest network access.
•Conduct wireless site surveys, capacity planning, and RF interference analysis.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate wireless solutions within the broader network and security architecture.
•Maintain up-to-date documentation including network diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
•Stay current on Fortinet product updates, wireless networking technologies, and security best practices.
Deploy, configure, and manage Aruba wireless infrastructure, including Aruba Access Points, Controllers, and Aruba Central cloud management.
•Monitor wireless network health and troubleshoot issues related to connectivity, performance, and security.
•Implement wireless security measures such as WPA2/WPA3, 802.1X authentication, ClearPass policies, and guest access controls.
•Conduct wireless site surveys and RF analysis to optimize network coverage and performance.
•Collaborate with network and security teams to integrate Aruba wireless solutions within the broader enterprise network.
•Maintain comprehensive documentation including network diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
•Keep up to date with Aruba product updates, industry trends, and wireless security best practices.
•Assist in incident response related to wireless network security and connectivity issues.
•Provide technical support and guidance to other IT teams and end-users.
•Help develop wireless network standards and best practices to ensure compliance and reliability.
•Participate in incident response and remediation related to wireless network issues.
•Provide technical support and training to other IT teams as needed.
•Assist in developing standards, guidelines, and best practices for wireless network deployment and security.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Fortinet Solutions.
- Good To Have Skills: Experience with network security protocols and firewalls.
- Strong understanding of application support methodologies and tools.
- Familiarity with incident management systems and ticketing tools.
- Ability to analyze and interpret system logs for troubleshooting.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Fortinet Solutions.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
