Summary
 

Performs varied clerical duties in accordance with standard procedures. This includes clerical duties such as photocopying, compiling records, filing, tabulating, posting information, and distributing mail. Applies knowledge of department policies and procedures, and utilizes a general understanding of other departments' functions to resolve most issues. Maintains records, prepares forms, verifies information and resolves routine problems. May assist in orienting and training others.

Location: This role is a part-time onsite position located at 4101 Percival Road, Columbia, SC 29229. This individual will have a flexible schedule working up to 34 hours weekly between 8:00AM & 5:00PM Monday through Friday.

What You'll Do:

  • Scans, images and indexes documents. Verifies accuracy of data and corrects errors discovered during review or research of documents. Compares or researches incoming mail or work requests to ensure related components are put together appropriately and free of errors and duplicates. Sorts and distributes documentation appropriately.

  • Prepares correspondence or packages for internal/external mailing. Tracks correspondence and/or packages and follows up as needed.

  • Maintains departmental logs, spreadsheets or databases. May prepare basic reports/statistics for management on work received for production and workload assessment.

  •  Orders supplies and maintains departmental supply inventory.

  • Assists other staff members in related duties as needed.

To Qualify for This Position, You'll Need:

  • Required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Required Work Experience: 2 years of clerical or office support experience.

  • Required Software and tools: Microsoft Office

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Good communication and organizational skills.

  • Detail-oriented. Basic business math, computer skills.
