Ovintiv’s Information Technology team is seeking a contractor to work with our identity and access management team. The role combines hands-on operational responsibilities with opportunities to contribute to improvements in identity security and governance. You will work to support core services, implementing best practices, and collaborating with a skilled team to deliver reliable, secure identity solutions.

This contract opportunity can be based in Calgary, Denver, or The Woodlands.

Key Responsibilities

• Day to day operations such as:

  • Core service management including DNS, DHCP, and Group policy

  • Certificate management, MS PKI or third party

  • Access management including AD tools, PAM, PIM

  • Ticket fulfillment for access, troubleshooting and general configuration

  • Incident response for identity-related security events.

  • Routine maintenance and health validation tasks

• Project/Change control

  • Contribute to improving and modernizing identity management processes.

  • Conditional access policy management

  • Upgrades and lifecycle management of Identity and Directory tools and services.

  • Access reviews, remediation and access transformation

  • Balance project delivery while maintaining day-to-day operational duties

• On call rotation

Qualifications

• Four or more year’s experience in Identity & Access Management

• Experience working with an on prem/cloud hybrid identity environment including on prem Active Directory and either Azure or AWS

• Experience working with DFS, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy administration, Kerberos ACL Management.

• Hands-on experience with PAM/PIM tools

• Familiarity with PKI & Certificate lifecycle management and enrollment rights governance.

• Ability to create clear runbooks and remediation plans

• Proficient in PowerShell scripting for automation, system administration and identity workflows.

• Experience automating identity lifecycle management

• Implementing best practices to meet security policy and compliance requirements.

• Time management between operational tasks and project work

• Strong stakeholder communication and documentation skills

Compensation

In accordance with applicable law, the following represents Ovintiv's reasonable estimate of the hiring compensation range for this role.

WAGE RATE: CA$68.00 - $86.00 per hour / USD$82.00 - $97.00 per hour

Wage rate will be determined by the geographic location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant.
