Citi’s Functions Technology is responsible for delivering Technology solutions to Citi's Functions organizations. Functions Technology mission is to optimize Citi's Technology environment by delivering world class applications, driving standardization of the production environment, reducing complexity, optimizing management of systems supporting global functions such as Compliance, Controls, Internal Audit and Risk, and introducing innovative technologies that provide new business capabilities, reduce the technology total cost of ownership, and create a competitive advantage for Citi.
We understand that everyone's unique – and that diversity of thought, experience and background is what makes a good team great – so in this role as the IDEAS Portfolio Strategy & Operations Group Manager you will work closely with Portfolio Lead and all the IDEAS leads to drive the organizational objectives. You will need a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the function. You have a curious mindset, thrive in collaborative teams, and are passionate about new technology. By your nature, you are also solution-oriented and commercially savvy.
Responsibilities:
Partner with Lead of the IDEAS organization and the Portfolio Lead to ensure critical and appropriate topics are presented to the leadership team for awareness, discussion and/or decision making.
Assist the Portfolio Lead and Manager with connecting the dots across all the happenings, drive transparency, and foster open and honest dialogue regarding business performance, employee well-being, project updates, and strategic planning
Prepare various executive management presentations and reports to support product/service delivery and decision making.
Develop compelling and persuasive presentation materials to communicate organizational results and learnings to senior leadership.
Assist in partnering with communications team on strategy, leadership messages, forums, and speaking events.
Design and implement lightweight processes that move the organization forward and keep deliverables on time and to the highest quality
Ensure relevant members of the leadership team are prepared for meetings and interactions with external and internal stakeholders
Be open to take on responsibility of high priority special projects which are important, but not necessarily the responsibility of any one team
Provide vision, direction, and expertise to senior leadership for implementing innovative and significant business solutions that are large scale and cross organizational.
Establish cadence of routines to ensure oversight and coordination of large-scale meetings/events such as site visits, town halls, focus groups, extended leadership meetings, and off-sites.
Drive and support other key initiatives as they arise and provide business insight to identify opportunities to maximize efficiency including organizational health (span of control, organizational/operational design, etc.)
Helps to determine release goals for a large enterprise portfolio of platform products
Creates a comprehensive user experience for an entire customer domain using various design thinking techniques
For any issues, communicates to Sr. Management; assess the alternatives to resolve issues and builds a plan for resolution; makes recommendations that will meet the goals
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices
Qualifications:
10+ years in Technology, Business Management or Management Consulting experience in financial services
Ability to articulate complex concepts into salient facts creating c-suite quality visualizations and presentations
Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and quantitative skills/understanding of enterprise and emerging technology principles
Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio with excellent presentation and data visualization skills
A track record of driving outcomes in environments that require consensus building and influence
Experience with solid general management skills and exposure to varying tools with a strategy background from top tier consulting firms, and/or experience having previously run business functions (ideally in a regulated environment)
Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire both internal and external stakeholders.
Experience in planning and leading strategic initiatives with little to no supervision and with strong program management skills
Keenly analytical and structured in problem solving with the ability to clearly articulate solutions to all levels of the organization
Entrepreneurial mindset, balancing the scrappiness of a startup with the process orientation of a large company
Extreme comfort with ambiguity and driving change in large development organization
Ability to think ahead and see what’s coming by connecting the dots

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationship with key stakeholders across the organization
Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment and comfortable to operate without specific mandate
Strong judgment and ability to handle confidential/sensitive information
Trustworthy, reliable, anticipatory, and diligent about deliverable completion with governance in mind
Education:
Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
