Reporting directly to the Director of Strategic Partnerships, the Manager of Client Success and Partnerships will be accountable for managing a key Partner in the Air Miles program. 

This individual will provide subject matter expertise in the design, development, management, and implementation of the Strategic Partnership between BMO and the Partner. 

The Manager of Client Success and Partnerships will work cross-functionally across our Marketing, Onboarding, Operations, Legal and Analytics teams to deliver specific project/program business results in alignment with overall group goals.

Responsibilities include:

Creation of Strategic marketing solutions

  • Identifies short- and long-term value creation opportunities for target customer segments.
  • Create innovative client success and business development strategies to grow the business in collaboration with other program partners.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute a business plan to achieve client retention objectives alongside our marketing and analytics teams.
  • Budget planning and the reconciliation of ongoing initiatives to budget (forecasting)
  • Have a deep understanding of marketing plan results to adapt and enhance in year plan
  • Ongoing tracking of KPIs for campaigns to consolidate into the bigger picture understanding

Partner Support

  • Be the key point person for the Partner.  Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to meet business objectives.
  • Work across accounts to develop best practices and standardized GTM strategies against the program strategic framework
  • Professionalism and consistency in Partner servicing including:
    •  Account planning, Results decks, QBR, Reporting, Forecasting
    • Owning output and process spanning across CS, Marketing and A&I
  • Look for white space opportunities to integrate deeper into the Partner’s business with cross-selling opportunities
  • Act as a relationship manager on assigned projects / programs to ensure alignment with overall enterprise and group goals.

Maintain and Grow knowledge

  • Be the Loyalty Subject Matter Expert, monitoring trends within the industry and educating Partners on the most innovative strategies, concepts and best practices relevant to their business.  This includes the competitive Loyalty landscape and competing value propositions.
  • Be data driven with an ability to interpret insights into actionable plans
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of the Partners’ business and marketing imperatives from both a strategic and financial perspective

Day to Day Response (Internal and External)

  • Build relationships with internal and Partner counterparts including category management and product owners.  Act as a Loyalty expert for these groups and highlight business solutions. Offer solutions for problems and be known as the go to person as it relates to Loyalty and retail business Solution
  • Contributes to the development of marketing and sales materials for new business opportunities.
  • Helps determine business priorities and best sequence for execution of business/group strategy.
  • Conducts independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues.
  • Breaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Monitors and tracks performance to address any issues.
  • Designs and produces regular and ad-hoc reports, PCA campaigns and Quarterly/ Annual business review documents.
  • Monitor campaign results
  • Attend industry events as required
  • Broader work or accountability may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Typically, between 3 – 5 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Solid knowledge of testing strategies, test plans, and execution.
  • Solid knowledge of process and/or project management.
  • Be highly personable and organized
  • Verbal & written communication skills - In-depth.
  • Collaboration & team skills - In-depth.
  • Influence and negotiation skills - In-depth.
  • Strong presentation skills – In-depth.
  • Data driven decision making - In-depth.

Salary:

$75,900.00 - $141,900.00

The above represents AIR MILES’ pay range and type.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents AIR MILES’ expected target for the first year in this position.

AIR MILES’ total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
