Job Description:

We are looking for a: Programme Delivery Manager who is available for an indicative period of two years in the UK, before returning to one of Leonardo Italia's sites.

Responsibilities:
Manage the delivery of all programme outputs defining the baseline scope and managing change, ensuring the integration across the programme. Identify and release Control Account structures to deliver the WBS (contract) while meeting strategic and project delivery goals to time, cost and quality.
The role will involve liaison with other business functions to safeguard the delivery, applying the Governance model and first line of assurance through programme / project execution. The Delivery Manager will proactively manage emerging risks and opportunities and advise the Control Account Owners on managing their risks and opportunities.
Assign project closure activities following the completion of the WBS (contract) plus any agreed changes, and subsequently be responsible for the closure of Control Accounts within allocated scope.
Accountabilities include (but are not limited to):
- Define the construct of the baseline WBS (contract) in conjunction with the Programme Integration Lead;
- Establish the baseline within defined scope based upon customer requirements and place it under configuration control;
- For programme baseline changes (WP scope, cost, schedule), support Functional Delivery roles identifying and proposing recovery / mitigative / corrective actions;
- Identify the appropriate Control Account Structure to deliver the WBS (contract) in accordance with the appropriate stakeholders;
- Determine the Programme Performance Measurements in collaboration with Programme Integration Lead, the corresponding Delivery Leads and Control Account Owners;
- Verify the accuracy of reported physical and financial progress for the programme within defined scope, assessing the validity of any deviations, and ensuring alignment with the programme's scope, schedule, and cost objectives;
- Management of the bid support through the bid process and de risk delivery to the benefit of the programme;
- Apply the Governance model and first line of assurance through execution;
- Release the Control Account (scope, budget, timeline) for execution;
- Provide support and advice on the assignment of Control Account Owners;
- Provide Programme integrated schedule for allocated scope to support the development of a programme schedule at ICS/IMS level;
- Support and advise on the development of the detailed Consolidated Schedules;
- Monitor the progress of the Programme schedule and cost; identify and propose corrective actions;
- Provide programmatic solutions to solve potential delivery bottlenecks;
- Review and validate programme progress and deviation reports to ensure consistency with the programme baseline and support informed decision-making within allocated scope and alignment with strategic objectives;
- Lead the delivery of all programme elements within defined scope, ensuring integration across the programme;
- Provide regular updates to the Programme Delivery Lead on programme delivery status and performance;
- Proactively manage emerging risks and opportunities to the benefit of the project/programme and support and advise the Control Account Owners on their risks and opportunity management;
- Support the assessment and evaluation of identified changes;
- Assign project closure activities following the completion of the WBS (contract) and any agreed changes;
- Support the development of a closure plan and activities;
- Perform the formal closure of a Control Account.

Requirements:
- Professional certifications; example: PMP (Project Management Professional), PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM (Association for Project Management);
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in relevant subject;
- Leadership skills with experience in mentoring, developing teams, and engaging senior stakeholders;
- Experience in leading large-scale projects/programmes/teams collaborating with different functions;
- Programme Management experience in delivering projects/programmes;
- Financial acumen understanding cost and budget control/forecasting;
- 5 - 10 years of proven experience in the role;
- Strong negotiation/influencing skills and conflicts resolution.
Desirable:
- Extensive knowledge relating to delivery requirements;
- Experience in developing and executing multi-years strategic plans.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
