POSITION SUMMARY: NXP Semiconductors is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Firewall and Network Security Lead to manage and evolve its Global Network Firewall Infrastructure, spanning on-premises and cloud environments. This role is critical to ensuring the security, scalability, and compliance of NXP’s global connectivity footprint. The position will be based in India and will play a key role in driving automation, vendor collaboration, and alignment with NXP’s InfoSec and CISO organizations. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities: • Lead and mentor a team of firewall engineers, promoting a collaborative, high-performance culture. • Lead the operations and lifecycle management of NXP’s global firewall infrastructure across on-prem and cloud platforms. • Ensure high availability, performance, and compliance of firewall systems. • Work closely with InfoSec and CISO teams to align firewall and network security operations with NXP’s Cybersecurity Hardening Guidelines and governance policies. • Support audits, compliance initiatives, and incident response processes. • Drive adoption of AI Ops and intelligent automation for proactive threat detection and response. • Collaborate with vendors, partners, managed service providers, and internal operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery. • Coordinate with Global Business Groups, On-Site Support Leads, and other stakeholders to align security operations with business needs. • Lead and contribute to global network security projects, including platform upgrades, policy standardization, and deployment of next-gen security capabilities. • Build and deploy new network security infrastructures, including greenfield implementations and expansion of existing environments. • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network security issues across multi-vendor environments, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including network diagrams, configuration standards, and operational procedures. • Monitor and respond to security events, alerts, and incidents, escalating as necessary and contributing to root cause analysis and remediation. • Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies to continuously improve the organization's security posture. • . ________________________________________ Qualifications: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field. • 10+ years of experience in network security operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. • Proven experience managing global firewall infrastructure in both on-prem and cloud environments. • Hands-on expertise with: • Firewall Platforms like: Palo Alto Networks, ZScaler, Fortinet, Cisco Firewalls • Cloud Security: AWS and Azure firewall services, cloud-native security controls • Automation Tools: Terraform, Ansible, Python scripting for firewall automation • Security Capabilities: DLP, CASB, Zero Touch, CNAAP, URL Filtering, SaaS Security, AI Edge Security, AI Ops, Advanced Threat Protection • Monitoring & ITSM Tools: Splunk, ServiceNow, SolarWinds, Observo • Certifications (preferred): o Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) o Cisco Certified Network Professional Security (CCNP Security) o Fortinet NSE certifications o AWS/Azure Security Specialty • Exposure to SIEM platforms, log management, and threat intelligence tools.
