Role Overview
The Senior Manager of TW/HKSearch Business will be responsible for defining the strategic direction, execution, and growth of the local search products and collaborating with the global search team to roll out our product smoothly. This role requires a balance of business acumen, technical understanding, and leadership skills to deliver high-quality, user-centric search experiences that drive engagement and revenue.
Search Strategy & Roadmap
Define the long-term strategy and vision for the search platform.
Align product development with company objectives, user needs, and industry trends.
Identify opportunities for innovation and competitive differentiation.
Search Quality & User Experience
Oversee initiatives to enhance search relevance, personalization, and usability.
Leverage user research, feedback, and testing to continuously improve the user experience.
Partner with AI/ML teams to advance algorithmic capabilities.
Data-Driven Insights & Innovation
Establish KPIs and performance metrics to measure search effectiveness.
Use analytics, experimentation, and A/B testing to optimize search features and outcomes.
Encourage a culture of data-driven decision-making across teams.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Collaborate closely with engineering, product, content, and monetization teams.
Ensure alignment across stakeholders to deliver scalable and reliable search solutions.
Provide leadership, coaching, and development opportunities for team members.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Data Science, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
8+ years of experience in product management, business strategy, or operations, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.
Proven track record in managing or scaling search, information retrieval, or AI/ML-driven products.
Technical & Business Knowledge
Strong understanding of search technologies, ranking algorithms, personalization, and data analytics.
Experience with A/B testing, KPI tracking, and data-driven product optimization.
Familiarity with monetization strategies such as search advertising, sponsored listings, or affiliate models.
Leadership & Collaboration
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Strong stakeholder management skills with experience working across engineering, AI/ML, content, and business teams.
Excellent people management skills, including mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
Strategic & Analytical Thinking
Ability to define long-term strategies while executing short-term initiatives effectively.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to derive actionable insights from complex datasets.
Results-driven, with a proven ability to achieve business growth targets.
Communication & Influence
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence senior executives and external partners.
Skilled at presenting complex ideas clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
