About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead a high-performing team of sales representatives focused on the computer distribution and IT solutions market. In this role, you’ll set strategic direction, coach and develop talent, and drive revenue, profitability, and market share growth within your assigned territory. You’ll collaborate with key vendors, leverage data-driven insights, and own the end-to-end sales cycle—from quoting and negotiating to closing deals and managing customer relationships.
What You'll Do
• Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of 5–10 sales representatives, fostering a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and high performance
• Develop and implement sales strategies and tactical plans to achieve revenue, profitability, and market share targets
• Review, analyze, and approve daily, weekly, and monthly productivity reports, ensuring accurate P&L management and forecast accuracy
• Coach representatives on progressive sales skills, product knowledge, territory planning, and contract negotiation best practices
• Cultivate and strengthen relationships with distributors, vendors, and strategic customers to identify new business opportunities
• Oversee quoting, negotiating, and closing of inventory pricing, availability, and customer-specific bids
• Partner with credit and customer service teams to resolve complex order, credit, and service issues promptly
• Act as a subject-matter expert, providing technical guidance and sales support for less-experienced team members
• Drive pipeline development through prospecting, qualification, and territory expansion efforts
• Coordinate cross-functional initiatives with marketing, operations, and finance to optimize sales processes and customer satisfaction
What We're Looking For
• 6+ years of industry sales experience in technology distribution, IT solutions, or a related field
• 2+ years of people leadership or supervisory experience, ideally managing a small to medium–sized team preferred
• Diploma and/or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline (preferred)
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales productivity, revenue, and profitability goals
• Strong contract management, negotiation, and closing skills
• Proficiency with CRM systems and sales analytics tools
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in high-volume call center environments or inside sales operations
• Working knowledge of computer hardware, software, and cloud solutions
• Demonstrated success in launching new products or entering new market segments
• Familiarity with international sales channels and vendor partnership models
Why You’ll Love Working Here
