Mgr Software Development Engineering

What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role The Senior Devops Software Engineer is responsible monitoring system health, ensuring the availability and performance of critical systems and applications and responding to incidents to minimize downtime. This role involves working closely with product managers, Operation engineers, and other software engineers to create high-quality, scalable software solutions and automating operations. The role also included designing, developing, and maintaining software applications and solutions that meet business needs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in oversee the day-to-day management of technology platforms, ensuring that they meet performance, security, and availability requirements

You will specifically focus on Global CRM capabilities. Amgen is using fully integrated and best in class technologies, having Salesforce.com as core architecture & relying on business capabilities enablers such as Veeva CRM, Veeva Vault, Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day management of technology platforms, ensuring that they meet performance, security, and availability requirements
• Ensure that platforms align with security standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies
• Define, monitor, and manage service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure the service meets performance and availability requirements
• Oversee the resolution of service-related incidents and problems, ensuring minimal impact on business operations
• Create and maintain reports and dashboards that provide insights into issues creations and resolutions
• Analyze customer feedback and support data to identify pain points and opportunities for product improvement
• Take support ownership of software/features deployed to production
• Manage software delivery scope, risk, and timeline with the software Engineer team
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior support team members & lead the team execution by playing a role of coordination for successful delivery
• Identify and resolve technical challenges effectively
• Work closely with product team, business team, and other partners
• Identify and resolve software bugs and performance issues
• Work on integrating with other systems and platforms to ensure seamless data flow and functionality
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for applications, ensuring that they operate smoothly and efficiently
• Use Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment as part of the Devops practices and maintain CI/CD Pipelines
• Set clear expectations for maintaining high standards of code quality, implementing code reviews, and ensuring comprehensive test coverage

Basic Qualifications:

• Doctorate degree / Master's degree / Bachelor's degree and 8 to 13 years.
• Proficient in programming languages Visual Force, Apex, SQL, Java
• Strong expertise in software design principles, and system integration Experience with Devops Tool set (Jira, Git, Jenkins, Copado)
• Proven experience as Software Engineer, leading the design and development of software solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Functional Skills:

Must-Have Skills

• Certifications related to Veeva CRM, Salesforce, Copado Strong
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies
• Strong experience of IT service management principles
• Experience with support and operational processes

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with test automation
• Applies analytical skills to evaluate and interpret minimally complex situations/problems
• Updated with the latest technology trends and advancements

Soft Skills:

• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with global, virtual teams
• High degree of initiative and self-motivation
• Ability to manage multiple priorities successfully
