Overview:
Become a full-time Field Sales Representative for Samsung Electronics America (SEA)!
We are looking for a driven Field Sales Representative (FSR) to oversee sales within an assigned territory of retail stores. The ideal candidate will excel in developing and executing sales strategies, enhancing product visibility, and increasing sales volumes within retail locations. This role demands a blend of analytical skills to assess market trends, the ability to implement effective sales tactics, and build strong relationships with store managers and staff to ensure the product line stands out in a competitive retail environment.
Day-in-the-Life as a Samsung Field Sales Representative:
- Typically work Tuesday-Saturday, but schedule will change based on needs of business
- Flexibility needed to work weekdays and weekends to accommodate retail partnerships, as needed
- Ensure Samsung’s retail brand standards are maintained by regularly inspecting all Samsung branded displays and marketing materials
- Take action to assist store leadership in ensuring proper product placement, flooring, and merchandising (VMD, POP, Digital, Display, Golden Zones, etc.)
- Through one-to-one and group meetings ensure all retailer sales personnel are highly knowledgeable on the unique selling points of Samsung devices
- Communicate current promotions and bundles to team members, and certify comprehension of active and upcoming promotions
- Maintain a positive and professional relationship with store management, within the assigned territory
- Report on store and program needs through daily reporting, and ensure any needs of the store are escalated back to Field Operations or National Manager
- Operate/View a video display terminal 50% of work time, including prolonged periods
- Movement and transportation of equipment, most of the time under 25 pounds
- Performs work under time schedules and stresses which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time-sensitive job stress, fatigue, intellectual challenge, constant technical data feedback, language barriers, and business management stress

Retail Store Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the Retail Store Manager to engage, develop, and assist a high-performing team
- Ensure the store remains in compliance with Samsung standards
- Assist the Store Manager in inefficient store operations, including inventory, collaterals, DEMO, and POS management
Sales Floor Activities:
- Engage in consultative selling and services during retail hours
- Greet customers, understand their needs, and provide an overview of available options
- Coach sales representatives to enhance sales and customer experience skills
Floor Maintenance:
- Ensure a clear, organized, and clean sales floor, with updated displays and promotional materials
- Oversee the proper setup and adherence to brand guidelines for displays, promotional materials, POP, VMD, and Digital
- Ensure the proper upkeep and cleaning of Samsung products and displays
Product & Promotion Knowledge:
- Stay updated on Samsung products, promotions, and technology standards
- Attend necessary training sessions
- Communicate current promotions and bundles to team members and ensure correct application on products
- Check for proper application of guidelines per category/product
Reporting & Data Management:
- Provide daily reporting on store and program needs
- Responsible for the correct data reporting and uploading from assigned stores
Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the Store leadership team, Field Operations, and National Manager
- Collect and report feedback on consumer behavior and trends

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement territory sales strategies that align with overall company goals, targeting key retail stores within the assigned area
- Demonstrate effective time management to ensure all needs of the business are exceeded
- Possess strong communication skills leading to better collaboration, team cohesion, and task compliance
- Build and maintain strong relationships with retail store managers and staff, acting as the main point of contact for our brand
- Conduct regular sales visits to ensure product placement, visibility, and branding are optimized according to company standards
- Ensure retail brand standards are met through merchandising, security, installation, and cleanliness
- Analyze sales data and market trends within the territory to identify opportunities for growth and areas for improvement
- Coordinate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional activities and in-store events that drive sales and enhance brand presence
- Monitor inventory levels across retail stores, working closely with the logistics team to ensure adequate stock availability
- Provide training and product knowledge to retail staff to enhance their ability to sell our products effectively
- Prepare detailed reports on sales performance, promotional activities, and market feedback, providing actionable insights to senior management
- Manage and adhere to sales budgets, optimizing expenditures to maximize return on investment
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, ethical standards, and regulations throughout sales operations in the territory
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred; minimum 2-years of higher-education required
- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, ideally within a retail or consumer goods environment
- Strong understanding of retail dynamics and consumer behavior within a specified territory
- Excellent relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills
- Proficient in analyzing sales data and market trends to inform strategic decisions
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and travel extensively within the territory
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ensure retail brand standards are met through merchandising, security, installation, and cleanliness
