The Opportunity

Direct all distribution and logistics policies, procedures, and activities to maximize the efficiency, reliability, timeliness, and cost effectiveness of the organization's supply chain. This position ensures compliance to FDA, GMP, GDP and all other applicable agency regulations.

What You’ll Work On

  • Lead the distribution activities of the finished products, involving receipt, delivery and control of inventory with the objective of satisfying internal and external client needs within compatible terms and costs.
  • Provides leadership to department managers through setting goals which align to the annual operating plans and managing the execution of goals through coaching and mentoring.
  • Develop and analyze key metrics for the distribution center and ensure established goals are met in the areas of performance, quality, safety, customer satisfaction, and budgetary plan.
  • Develops a culture of continuous improvement, professional growth, cross functional/cross divisional collaboration and goal planning and execution.
  • Direct teams, remove obstacles and implement practices which ensures customers receive product in a timely manner using cost efficient processes (workforce planning, inventory management, purchasing, systems utilization).
  • Strategize and collaborate with foreign locations/affiliates to ensure the efficient and effective distribution of products globally.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance related to the international supply chain including import, export, tariffs, and Customs Broker relationships.
  • Coordinate materials supply, storage, distribution and order delivery, seeking the optimization of available resources to meet the needs of customer demand
  • Monitor and sustain optimum performance levels, adequate expense levels, space, equipment, staffing levels, and overhead to meet the annual budgetary plan for Distribution.
  • Partner with key stake holders across the entity to drive process improvement and meet business objectives.
  • Responsible for site compliance to the quality system including quality policy, planning, the organizational structure to support the quality system, and management review of the quality system to determine its effectiveness.
  • Responsible for domestic and international transportation oversight and management of transportation service providers and freight forwarders including but not limited to contract adherence, negotiations, and modification as necessary, business reviews, and performance oversight.
  • Deliver creative solutions to drive annual margin and profitability goals in the freight and distribution space.
     

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations Management or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in in relevant field such as Logistics, Operations Management or Supply Chain.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing teams, preferably multiple functions/departments.
  • Direct experience in warehouse operations and transportation management, including warehouse management systems (WMS / ERP).
  • Experience in Medical Device/Diagnostics manufacturing or similarly regulated industry.
  • Experience with global supply chain teams including policy and procedure development, strategy formulation, regulatory compliance, quality systems and product life cycle planning.
  • Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross division business unit model.
  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to set goals and provide positive and constructive feedback respectfully to build positive relationships and improve business results.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced changing environment.
  • Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
  • Multi-tasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and follow-up skills and ability to hold others accountable.

The base pay for this position is

$162,000.00 – $324,000.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
