Position Summary
The Security Assurance team at Samsung is looking for a Security Equipment Program Manager specializing in Physical Security who will be able to lead a high volume of technical projects related to securing a 1200-acre growing campus in Taylor Texas and a 600-acre campus in Austin. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring all security system equipment (badge readers, X-Ray machines, metal detectors, cameras, license plate readers, and access software) is employed optimally and that it all remains operational. This role will report to the Physical Security Manager and will support a high volume of fast-moving projects throughout Samsung sites in Austin.Role and Responsibilities
Responsible for defining scope of work for installations of security systems.
Provide vendor oversight to security maintenance operations over a large site.
Oversee a preventive maintenance program to ensure security equipment remains operational.
Be the subject matter expert and establish best practices for the employment, installation, and operation of security equipment including X-Ray machines, speed gates, badge readers, and camera systems.
Integrate security equipment operations with Facilities projects and maintenance initiatives.
Skills and Qualifications
Four-year college degree in related field or applicable technical degree or certification, OR Relatable practical experience in security technology roles.
Knowledge of Physical Security equipment design and installation.
Experience with security technology system troubleshooting and strong mechanical aptitude.
Familiarity with design and installation of physical security equipment including cameras, door card readers, LPR, x-ray and metal detector systems.
Capability to work with Microsoft Office tools (excel, PowerPoint, word, etc.)
Aptitude for documentation and data analysis.
Ability to thrive in a multi-cultural environment.
Experience establishing a maintenance program.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Physical Security Professional Certification (preferred).
The current base salary range for this role is between $57,760and $127,770.
Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
