Job Description Summary
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team in Denver, Colorado? Do you pride yourself on your analytical skills and your ability to figure out and understand business risks? Reporting to the team leader, sales and service operations, you will establish and process all of our Suncor Energy USA sales transactions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Five or more years of experience with preference for any combination of: contract administration, pricing, billing, or accounting
  • Post-secondary degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • Intermediate to advance level Excel; SAP and SOX proficiency and experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills with a continuous improvement mindset, with a deep understanding of accounting and billing principles and methods

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze letters of intent to sale and subsequently convert into complete, accurate and legally binding contractual agreements
  • Calculate pricing and or enter complex marketer pricing with differing provisional rules and enter pricing details into SAP per contract terms
  • Manage the billing cycle and ensure all receivables are promptly processed and accounted for prior to month-end close
  • Enforce established Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) guidelines and complete pricing audit packets
  • Troubleshoot data feed issues and resolve billing and pricing discrepancies
  • Analyze and apply tax regulations pertaining to the product, jurisdiction and mode of transportation then implement the appropriate protocol for each account set-up
  • Build positive relationship to collaborate with internal partners to resolve issues in a timely fashion and make suggestions to continually improve our processes and increase efficiency
  • Serve as a business liaison between sales and IT by explicating the terms and changes of sales transactions to aid in the implementation of necessary system changes
  • Conduct basic financial analysis and present results
  • Facilitate master data and tax exemption status in SAP and daily billing on sales transactions to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and prompt financial returns

Location and other Key Details:  

  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
  • This is a remote role, the successful candidate must reside in Colorado
  • Salary and Compensation Details:  
    • Annual salary range of $86,000 to $90,000
