What you’ll do

As a Key Account Manager, you’ll be the trusted partner to account manage institutions across your region—owning the strategy and relationships that unlock access to cutting‑edge GU cancer therapies. You’ll engage stakeholders through AstraZeneca’s approved channels, spot growth opportunities early, and bring back actionable insights that shape both day‑to‑day execution and long‑term strategy.

Key responsibilities

  • Define and regularly refine primary and secondary target customers in line with Business Unit/Therapy Area strategy.
  • Establish and continuously develop relationships with targeted institutional customers in the region.
  • Map customer needs and profiles through ongoing insight gathering; tailor engagement accordingly.
  • Leverage approved AZ communication channels to engage based on customer profiles and preferences.
  • Plan, execute and flexibly adapt sales activities to achieve strategy and deliver assigned targets per the Sales Incentive Plan.
  • Analyse regional sales potential; plan and execute activities to maximise potential for AZ products.
  • Promote defined AZ products using approved materials and in accordance with SmPC; drive disease awareness, early diagnosis and treatment initiation in line with TA strategy.
  • Partner with Product Managers/Marketing to plan and execute initiatives that support target achievement; provide feedback to optimise effectiveness.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Medical Advisors, Marketing, Market Access and others to unlock opportunities and manage risks.
  • Monitor and report competitive activities; provide timely, accurate information on business opportunities and risks.
  • Report Business Unit KPIs with required quality and timing; operate in line with the business plan and current sales strategy.
  • Manage entrusted funds responsibly (operational and investment) and coordinate with regional partners (HM, MSR, SM), Logistic Manager and Business Specialists to ensure logistics and sales support.

Your profile

  • Experience in Key Account Management, business development, or institutional sales within the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector.
  • Track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Passion for science and committed to make a positive personal impact;
  • Curiousness and learning agility;
  • Strong ability, or potential to develop it, in engaging and influencing decision making among key stakeholders in complex clinical environments, e.g., mid and senior level specialty care professionals, key accounts in the medical community;
  • Collaborative and inclusive: exercise anticipation and responsiveness to the needs of others; ability to modify own approach to different people;
  • Ability to analyze problems and focus on finding solutions - identify the key issues that need action and consider options from a variety of angles in order to identify an innovative solution;
  • Able to use balanced reasons and metrics to recommend actions and support decision-making
  • Resourceful and tenacious in approaching problems and leveraging all available resources for developing solutions;
  • Fluent Czech and intermediate English and literacy in common corporate technology
