We are a growing team looking for a Junior Accountant in the Finance department to help us on our journey to revolutionize road freight logistics. The role is located in our Milan office.

WHAT YOU WILL DO …

As a Junior Accountant, you will work closely with the Team Lead of Accounts Payable and Treasury to streamline and standardize our financial processes, contributing to the stability of our rapid growth.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

• Prepare monthly group reports in accordance with IFRS, in collaboration with the local Finance Manager;
• Lead the month-end closing process, including revenue and cost accruals, intercompany reconciliation, and account reconciliations, in partnership with the sennder HQ team;
• Manage daily accounting operations, such as fixed assets, payroll postings, prepaid expenses, VAT, and Withholding Tax, working closely with the AP/AR and Treasury teams;
• Ensure full compliance with local regulatory and tax requirements;
• Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports, as well as financial statements;
• Assist with external audit and internal information requests.

PREFERABLY YOU HAVE:

• Direct experience as an external auditor, preferably with a Big 4 or similar firm, and ideally combined with a role as an accountant. 
• A degree in business studies with a focus on finance or accounting.
• Good understanding of accounting and reporting standards, particularly IFRS.
• Native-level proficiency in Italian, with strong English language skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint) and ERP systems (familiarity with Oracle NetSuite is an advantage).
