We are seeking a talented individual to join our Program Delivery team at Marsh. This role will be based in New York, hybrid and requires working at least three days a week in the office.

As the Lead Project Manager, you will thrive at the centre of complex, high-impact delivery. In this role, you’ll lead end-to-end execution of large-scale projects across the enterprise - supporting both internal and external stakeholders - ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. You’ll bring structure and clarity across the full project lifecycle, from planning, resourcing, and governance through to execution and stakeholder engagement.

As a senior individual contributor and recognised subject matter expert, you’ll not only drive delivery of multi-million-scale initiatives but also coach and uplift other project managers, while confidently navigating ambiguity and solving complex challenges. Embedded within the Program Delivery team, you’ll play a key role in advancing critical finance priorities across the organisation, including seven active initiatives and two major global transformation programmes. This is a highly collaborative role, working closely with Stakeholders across the finance organisation, where strong communication, influence, and execution excellence will be essential to success.

We will count on you to

  • Manage highly complex, broad, and/or multi-year projects end-to-end to deliver business outcomes, ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to a high level of client satisfaction.

  • Develops detailed, robust, high-quality project plans including resources, scope, schedule, cost, assumptions, dependencies, etc. for large scale, complex projects.

  • Recognize the impact of any scope change and how that may affect tasks and assignments in the future and adjusts project plans and communicates accordingly.

  • Acts as the first responder to risk, exposures, delays etc. to projects and acts quickly either directly or by notifying supervisors or potential pitfalls and recommends solutions.

  • Works closely within high visibility projects and regularly interfaces with internal senior management and client executive level personnel, as well as identifies global subject matter experts on the project at hand.

  • Identify resource requirements with responsible management when faced with conflicts in priorities.

  • Assists in the exploration of intricate solutions to highly complex business requirements for project.

  • Serves as the subject matter expert in the project functionality being provided, the business domain being served, and the project planning tools used.

  • Delegates work to and guides professional and support staff, ensuring adherence to departmental standards and procedures.

What you need to have:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in program management. Preferably within large, complex organisations

  • Relevant project management certification such as PMP or PRINCE2, required.

  • Proven experience delivering large-scale global programs/projects across multiple regions and stakeholders

  • Managing projects involving multi million budgets, costs and savings initiatives

  • Strong understanding of project lifecycle management, including project components, phases, deliverables, dependencies and governance

  • Ability to critically evaluate, challenge and clearly articulate the value and impact of proposed solutions and project outcomes

  • Strong executive presence with the ability to engage and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and leadership teams.

  • Highly adaptable resilient and comfortable working within dynamic, rapidly changing global business environments.

Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $117 100 to $231 100.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
