What Rockwell Needs from You

We have an immediate hiring need for our full-time Machine Operator 1. This is a 3rd Shift role (SUN-TH, 10:30 PM – 6:30 AM), in the Electronic Assembly department with a starting rate of $18 per hour with a 10% shift premium. You will be on-site at our Twinsburg, OH production facility reporting to one of our 3rd Shift Machine Shop Supervisor's.

JOB SUMMARY:

Set up and operate a variety of automatic or semi-automatic machines used in the production of our product. Work from process sheets or written/verbal instructions given by supervisor to perform production tasks. Checks and inspects operation against predetermined tolerances.

RESPONSIBLITIES and ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

May perform the following:

• Work with Surface Mount Technologies and other machining processes
• Set up and operate multiple machines and work stations at once - Works with components and full PC board layouts for final product creation
• Create and apply labels onto PCBs (manually and/or automated)
• Burns firmware programs into electronic components using programming machines
• Prepare reels and feeders for use on surface mount technology (SMT) machines; count materials and moves to production line
• Set up and operate optical inspection machine and perform visual classification and repair of rejected boards
• Follow established procedures on routine work and standard operating procedures
• Frequently work with peers and customers (typically internal) to exchange or present factual information
• Operate plated through-hole (PTH) machine to install axial, radial and DIP electronic components onto PCBs
• Make setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications
• Perform other duties as needed

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or GED OR 1 year of related work experience
• Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Preferred a minimum of 1+ years of related experience in machining or electronics field but not required
• Basic Computer Literacy
• Basic Reading and Writing
