Summary: As a Database Administrator, you will administer, develop, test, or demonstrate databases. You will perform many related database functions across one or more teams or clients, including designing, implementing and maintaining new databases, backup/recovery and configuration management. Your typical day will involve installing database management systems (DBMS) and providing input for modification of procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and optimization of databases. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to perform independently and become an SME. - Required active participation/contribution in team discussions. - Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems. - Ensure the security, availability, and performance of the databases. - Design and implement database solutions based on business requirements. - Perform database administration tasks, including installation, configuration, and maintenance. - Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring efficient query execution and data integrity. - Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, including performance bottlenecks and data corruption. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement database strategies and best practices. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server Database Administration. - Strong understanding of database management systems and concepts. - Experience in database design, implementation, and maintenance. - Knowledge of backup and recovery strategies for databases. - Familiarity with configuration management and version control tools. - Good To Have Skills: Experience with Oracle Database Administration. - Experience with cloud-based database platforms, such as AWS RDS or Azure SQL Database. - Knowledge of database security best practices. - Experience with performance tuning and optimization techniques. - Solid understanding of SQL and T-SQL programming languages. Additional Information: - The candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server Database Administration. - This position is based in Noida. - A 15 years full time education is required.
