The Project Management Site Lead will work with our customer’s, project managers, internal task or functional staff, and support personnel to execute the AFNCR ITS Program Mission. The successful candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment that requires team interaction and coordination of efforts. The candidate will be accountable for prioritizing, planning, organizing, training, assessing, and managing resources to ensure that projects are executed within scope and time constraints.  While part of a team environment, the Lead will also work individually and may assist other team members on moderately complex projects, tasks, or assignments. As a Project Management Site Lead for the Air Force customer, the candidate will serve as a primary point of contact for the Site’s Project Management office projects and activities.

The Challenge:

  • Interfacing with DOD officials to coordinate, schedule, and manage discrete Peer Review projects.
  • Engaging with subject matter experts for assignments and monitoring work activities.
  • Lead projects from inception through delivery, coordinating all related functions, tasks and schedule aspects.
  • Ensure all related resources across multiple task order and functional, subcontractor and related support organizations have defined tasking, meet project timelines.  
  • Coordinate all aspects of projects content across the various involved functions from initiation through project completion.
  • Provide hands-on efforts to characterizing the projects content in preparation for input to the appropriate organizations to ensure complete end-to-end execution of the projects.
  • Review, analyze and evaluate task output for complete, correct and complaint project submittals to the customer.
  • Work with the technical/programmatic subject matter experts to characterize the project solutions for communication/charts for review and approval for submittal to Leidos customers.
  • Day to day tasks require a hands-on, action-oriented individual.
  • Managing projects to successful completion, meeting schedule deadlines, service levels, and performance targeted. 
  • Participating in regular process improvement and quality initiatives.
  • Participating in and providing support for special projects.
  • Collaborate with government service owners on a daily basis providing statuses, answering questions, and leading the government forward for successful outcome of the project(s).
  • Ability to prioritize project tasking with the flight and squadron’s overall priorities, ensuring seamless workflow across the team.
  • The AFNCR Program is made up of 3 primary sites: JBA (Primary Site), JBAB, and the Pentagon; potential for occasional travel between the sites.

What Sets You Apart:

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience and 12+ years of prior relevant experience or MA/MS with 10+ years of prior relevant experience, additional years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree. 
  • Significant experience in project operation/management type environment.
  • Demonstrated customer service in high volume, deadline focused environment.
  • Experience with process improvement and quality assurance activities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to manage shifting schedules and priorities.
  • Strong computer, Microsoft office skills (Outlook, Teams, MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel). 
  • PMP Certification within 6 months.
  • 8140 Compliance

You Might Also Have:

  • Requirement Analysis.
  • Internal and external customer interfacing skills. 
  • Extensive knowledge of military organizations and prior experience working with the Air Force.
  • Clearance Required: 
  • Active DoD Secret clearance.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $116,350.00 - $210,325.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
