Job Description: 

We are seeking an exceptional graduate student to join our advanced research team as an AI and GPU Research Intern. This position offers the opportunity to lead cutting-edge research projects in artificial intelligence and GPU computing, with potential for significant contributions to the field. The intern will work on high-impact research problems while collaborating with senior scientists and contributing to publications and patent applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead independent research projects in AI algorithm development and GPU optimization

  • Design and implement novel AI architectures optimized for next-generation GPU hardware

  • Conduct advanced research in parallel computing, distributed training, and GPU cluster optimization

  • Develop innovative solutions for memory management and data movement in large-scale AI systems

  • Prototype and evaluate emerging AI techniques (transformer architectures, diffusion models, etc.) on GPU platforms

  • Mentor undergraduate researchers and interns

  • Author technical papers for peer-reviewed conferences and journals

  • Present research findings at internal seminars and external conferences

  • Collaborate with hardware teams on co-design of AI algorithms and GPU architectures

  • Contribute to grant proposals and research roadmap development

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled graduate student (MS/PhD) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field

  • Minimum GPA of 3.5

  • Strong research background with demonstrated publications or significant projects

  • Advanced programming skills in Python, C++, and CUDA

  • Deep understanding of machine learning theory and modern AI architectures

  • Extensive experience with GPU programming and parallel computing concepts

  • Proficiency with multiple deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX)

  • Experience with distributed computing and multi-GPU training

  • Strong mathematical foundation in linear algebra, optimization, and statistics

  • Proven ability to conduct independent research

  • Excellent technical writing and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD candidate with 2+ years of research experience

  • Published research in top-tier AI/ML or computer systems conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ISCA, MICRO, etc.)

  • Experience with large language models, computer vision, or other state-of-the-art AI domains

  • Knowledge of GPU architecture design and hardware-software co-optimization

  • Experience with performance profiling and optimization tools (Nsight, CUPTI, etc.)

  • Familiarity with emerging computing paradigms (quantum computing, neuromorphic computing)

  • Experience with cloud computing platforms and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

  • Background in compiler optimization or domain-specific languages

  • Previous industry research internship experience

  • Open-source contributions to major AI/ML projects

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $113,500.00-153,600.00 USD
