About the Role:
Perform assembly and disassembly of various engines and their assemblies, accessory units , and driven equipment.
Build complete engines and driven equipment prior to and after testing.
Perform overhaul of engines, packages, and assemblies. Perform balancing of rotating parts and assemblies.
What You Will Do:
Assemble, tear down, reassemble, and rework complete engines, assemblies, subassemblies, accessory units, and driven equipment.
Utilizing a working knowledge of turbomachinery products and working from operational paper, blueprints, written and/or oral instructions, or photographs.
Disassemble and rebuild any Solar or customer turbomachinery product.
Balance a variety of parts , assemblies, and subassemblies to Solar standards.
Change accessible filters and lubricate own machine tools as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Previous related mechanic experience
Previous experience working with engines
Ability to read blue prints
Must be willing to work any shift
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working with turbomachinery equipment

Summary Pay Range:
$23.00 - $39.86Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
