Residential Care Coordinator

Broadway Crossings Crisis Residential Program

Pay rate: $29/hour

The Opportunity Alliance is currently seeking a Residential Care Coordinator at our Broadway Crossing crisis residential program located in South Portland. Broadway Crossings is a short-term residential program, providing a therapeutic alternative to psychiatric hospitalization to adults experiencing a mental health crisis. The Residential Care Coordinator is a professional social work position that contributes to and supports all direct care clinical services at Broadway Crossings Crisis Residential program, under the supervision of the program director and clinical team. This is a pre-clinician position for social work or counseling professionals who are in process of licensure, having accomplished their masters degree and/or licensing test.

Schedule: Full Time, 32 hours per week

Location: South Portland, ME

Qualifications: 

  • In progress and anticipated achievement of the Master of Social Work degree or Masters of Counseling from an accredited graduate school within 6 months of hire required.
  • In progress, eligible for and anticipated social work or counseling clinical conditional license within 6 months of hire required.
  • Minimum of 1 or more years of direct experience in the mental health field or Co-Occurring Disorders and Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred. 
  • Must obtain a Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician certification within 1 year of employment.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background, child protective service check & sex offender check.
  • Must not be on the state or federal suspension and disbarment list.
  • Must pass CNA registry check.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and TB screen.
  • Must be able to exert moderate physical effort with occasional standing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, typing and frequently lift and carry small children or material weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Normal office conditions such as sitting, with occasional standing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, typing and lifting up to 10 pounds.
  • Driving may be necessary to attend meetings and trainings and for the occasional need to meet with clients offsite and within the program service area.  This may include transportation of clients or driving to agency location to complete work.  A good driving record is required.

***This role is required by the State of Maine to have proof of immunization or documented immunity against rubeola (measles), mumps, rubella (German measles), varicella (chicken pox), hepatitis B (optional), and influenza. Medical exemption may be accommodated with a written statement from a licensed medical professional. The Agency may assist with obtaining vaccines or proof of immunity if needed
