What Will You Be Doing

We are deeply committed to advancing our Data Strategy, embarking on a transformative journey from traditional on-premise infrastructure to a cutting-edge cloud-based architecture. Our pioneering Enterprise Data Lakehouse, powered by the Microsoft Azure technology suite including Data Lake, Delta Lake, Databricks, and dbt, represents the forefront of innovation in data management.

We seek an individual with a proven track record in Azure cloud technologies to join our team, contributing their expertise to shape and execute the design and implementation of our cloud-native platform.

Collaborating closely with Technical Leaders, Data Engineers and Analysts, as well as cross-functional teams throughout the organization, you will be instrumental in delivering robust solutions that address the Society's evolving data needs.

As an experienced data professional, you will be at the forefront of our Society's transformation, actively engaging in change initiatives and driving process enhancements. Your proactive approach will be pivotal in identifying opportunities for optimization and generating novel ideas to unleash the full potential of data, ultimately maximizing value for our Society.

What Do We Need From You?

Detailed knowledge of:

  • Experience in Design & Architecture of Azure Data solutions
  • Knowledge of data modelling principles, including data lakes and warehousing tools
  • Experienced in implementation of end-to-end ETL pipeline solutions
  • Experienced in the maintenance and optimisation of Data Lakehouse solutions to maximise performance.
  • Knowledge of Data analysis (any exposure to analytical tools would be advantageous)
  • Knowledge of Testing and software release management
  • Experience in business process and requirements analysis
  • Experience of full life-cycle software development
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines.

Technology:

  • Azure cloud services - particularly Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage
  • DBT (Data Build Tool) for transforming and modeling data
  • Leverage SQL, PySpark, and Python to perform data transformations, aggregations, and analysis on large datasets.

Certifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203)
