As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering robust, scalable, and secure customer data solutions that support a wide range of projects across our Customer Data Platform.
We are looking for a passionate engineer who thrives in Agile environments and is eager to contribute to the modernisation of our complex data estate.
What will you be doing?
Deliver robust and scalable Customer Data solutions across a variety of strategic projects
Ensure the platform is secure, high-performing, cost-efficient, and adaptable to evolving business needs
Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including designers, technical leads, test engineers, DevOps, and agile delivery leads—to deliver high-quality software
Engage with stakeholders to understand, articulate, and address technical requirements and challenges
Provide technical leadership and mentorship, promoting best engineering practices within the team
Work closely with business teams and scrum teams to ensure smooth delivery of desired outcomes
What we’re looking for?:
5+ years of experience in Java development.
Proven experience with technologies such as Reltio and/or Spring Boot
Experience in Python
Experience with modern software engineering practices including CI/CD, SOLID design principles, and Agile delivery.
Experience working independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
Skills:
Strong proficiency in Java.
Ability to deliver performant, cost-effective, and secure software solutions.
Knowledge of Redshift and Postgres are an advantage
Nice to have:
Experience with DevOps tooling such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and supporting languages.
Exposure to AWS development and cloud-native architectures.
Understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD).
Communication and Collaboration:
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms to diverse audiences.
Experience working closely with designers, technical leads, test engineers, DevOps engineers, and Agile delivery leads in multinational teams.
Leadership and Accountability:
Ability to provide leadership and guidance on engineering principles within the team.
Calm and logical approach to high-pressure situations, including customer data breach investigations.
Ownership of deliverables with a strong focus on risk management and continuous improvement.
