You will be a part of The Interop Service team which is working on a very high intensive and key core functional module, Server team handles Call Processing, PTT floor control functionality (RTP & RTCP) & Media in compliance to the mission critical standards & features. Interop Service team creates the products and solutions to provide interop operations with telephony, radio and broadband devices.


Job Description

We're seeking an experienced Senior Call Processing Engineer with a strong background in JAVA & C++ to join our team. The successful candidate will lead the design, development, and optimization of call processing systems, ensuring seamless and efficient voice communications across our network.


Basic Requirements

Key Areas of Responsibilities:

- Lead the design and development implement scalable microservices-based call processing architectures.
- Architect and implement complex call routing, and call control mechanisms
- Develop and optimize call processing algorithms, including goroup call
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure call processing aligns with overall network architecture and product roadmap
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex call-related issues, including call drops, misrouted calls, and audio quality problems
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for call processing systems and procedures
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on call processing.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and emerging trends in VOIP, SIP, RTP, and call processing

Skills/Competencies:

- 8+ years of experience in call processing, Messaging, VOIP engineering, or a related field
- Proficiency in Java & C++ programming, including multithreading, sockets, and memory management
- In-depth knowledge of SIP, RTP, VOIP protocols and network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, DHCP)
- Experience with public-key cryptography libraries (e.g., OpenSSL, WolfSSL) and protocols (e.g., TLS, IPsec)
- Experience with call processing platforms, such as Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, or Cisco CallManager
- Experience with network troubleshooting tools (e.g., Wireshark, Tcpdump) and debugging techniques
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in mentoring junior engineers
- Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills
- Good to have experience with cloud-based call processing platforms
