Position Description:
Designs and develops web environments on Amazon Web Services (AWS), using S3, API Gateway, and Lambda to enhance application performance. Applies Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles using AWS CloudFormation or Terraform, while implementing DevOps practices for Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes. Promotes standard methodologies in coding, secure application development, and test coverage. Ensures cross-browser compatibility and addresses asynchronous requests handling through Asynchronous JavaScript and XML (AJAX), utilizing monitoring solutions such as CloudWatch to maintain application performance. Develops complex or multiple software applications and conducts studies of alternatives. Analyzes and recommends changes in project development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies to development experts and management.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) implementing and supporting Web application development using Java and messaging systems – Kafka and IBM MQ.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) implementing and supporting Web application development using Java and messaging systems – Kafka and IBM MQ.
