JR59299 Fresh Graduate IT Infrastructure Engineer (Evergreen)Responsibilities:
Define, design and implement core computing & storage system hardware and operating system solutions
Data Center Management for highly-secure, highly-available, operations-centric datacenter environments in Singapore sites with exposure to asset management and capacity planning, vendor management with mounting works, asset impairments and degauss works
Provide L3 operational support with oncall support, including outside of office hours, and participate in Major incidents.
Ensure SLA for incidents and service requests are met with high quality of work.
Ensure important metrics, such as breach case target, MTTR and critical issue target is met.
Work alongside with our team of forward-thinking Engineers in our datacenter environments and interact with other technology teams, to build and maintain the Infrastructure for highly critical applications in those datacenter environments
Perform changes in critical computing and storage infrastructure supporting Micron’s manufacturing and engineering
Ensure security, availability, performance, interoperability and reliability of Micron’s core computing and storage resources with continuous improvement projects to ensure
Collaborate with site customers and Engineering subject areas to develop Reference Architectures and technology standards based on Infrastructure Building Block
Participate in Disaster Recovery planning and testing to ensure high class Infrastructure excess
Lead hardware and software refresh projects with strong collaboration with other technical teams and customers at the site
Able to drive Engineering efforts in automation and monitoring for computing systems
Direct the development and maintenance of technical documentation and align with server and storage administration standard processes
Participate in global IT troubleshooting events, global IT Project planning process and in rotational 24/7 Oncall for any local or global IT emergencies.
Provide L3 support including on weekends and holidays.
Review Level 2 case management process continually improve operations by reducing the cases, minimizing escalations and evolve the computing environment to meet future demands.
Requirements
Masters / Bachelors Degree with good honors in any Computer Science/Engineering field or an equivalent degree.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Passion to address business problems with application of technology
Good communication and interpersonal skills with a problem-solving demeanor
Academic know-how or internship experiences in the Infrastructure domain of IT with Knowledge of management of Windows , RHEL Linux OS
Configuration of SAN/NAS environment
Programming and scripting languages such as Java, PowerShell and Python, Splunk, Tableau or any analytics tools
Desire to learn hardware and virtualization technologies like Cisco UCS, HPE ProLiant, Dell servers, Nutanix, VMware, Citrix , Dell-EMC, NetApp, Pure Storage
Familiar with scripting languages will be added advantage
Certifications from Microsoft, RHEL, VMWare, Cisco, DELL-EMC, NETAPP will have an added advantage
