About the team:
We are developing a product that delivers end-to-end visibility into direct import flows, tracking shipments from suppliers through foreign ports and U.S. ports to import distribution centers. This tactical solution provides granular, daily insights into direct import purchase orders, enabling replenishment and sourcing managers to better synchronize supply and demand. By offering capabilities such as inventory projection, purchase order tracking, and pre-production monitoring for both direct and domestic imports, the product drives improved decision-making and delivers measurable cost savings. What You’ll Do:
As a Senior, Software Engineer for Walmart Global Tech, you’ll have the opportunity to
Design and Develop complex, scalable and fault tolerant software systems using Java, Springboot, Python.
Work with the Product team to understand Customer requirements and work with them closely.
Write Unit and regression tests for any code that is developed.
Do production deployments using platform's automated CI and deployment tools.
Be an advocate for keeping Cloud Infra cost low and always strive for better performance on the products being built.
Partner with senior and junior teammates throughout the software development lifecycle to cultivate a learning and team building.
Be a core scrum team member and follow agile best practices
What you will bring:
B.Tech. / B.E. / M.Tech. / M.S. in Computer Science or relevant discipline
6+ years of experience in development of highly-scalable distributed applications and platforms - particularly for multi-tenant, SaaS products.
Strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, design patterns.
Hands on experience in Microservices, RESTful webservices development in Java SpringBoot or equivalent framework.
Knowledge of API standards and best practices
Proficient in working with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and NOSQL Databases like Cosmos DB, Cassandra
Good knowledge in messaging systems: Kafka / RabbitMQ
Knowledge of at least one of Azure/Google Cloud Platforms
Good to have an understanding of Gen AI Frameworks
Strong ability to adapt to change quickly. Proficient in new and emerging technologies.
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Practitioner of Agile (Scrum) methodology.
