Job Summary
Under the direction of the Chief Pharmacy Officer, Director of Graduate Pharmacy Education, and under specific guidance of program directors and pharmacist preceptors, the resident performs a variety of professional level functions to assist in providing patients with optimum pharmaceutical care as part of an organized, directed, postgraduate training program (1-2 years in length). The resident gains the knowledge and experience to face challenges in complex health-care systems, as well as skills for the practice demands of the future.
Qualifications
Candidates must be eligible for pharmacist licensure in Massachusetts (such as being a graduate or candidate for graduation from an ACPE-accredited degree program (or one in process of pursuing accreditation; or have a Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Examination Committee certificate from NABP).
For PGY2 Candidates: Proof of enrollment in and successful completion of a PGY1 residency experience must be provided within 30 calendar days of PGY2 start date.
