The Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a Warehouse Specialist/Medium Truck Driver (NON CDL). The successful candidate will support logistics operations of the Navy Array Technical Support Center (NATSC), Newport RI, by performing physical tasks related to the handling of incoming and outgoing material. Loading, unloading company truck. Making deliveries on base between warehouses and production floor, and shipping department.

Primary Responsibilities:

Vehicle loading and unloading, driving, making deliveries with medium stake body truck. (NON CDL)

Material receipt and issue
Inventory maintenance
Receipt, issue, and location recordkeeping (hardcopy and electronic)
Material movement (using hand and powered lift trucks)
Packaging and preparation of materials for shipment
 

Basic Qualifications

Previous experience supporting warehousing activities, securing material to flatbed truck utilizing chain binders and straps, making deliveries, obtaining required signature documentation.

Previous experience reading/interpreting warehouse storage plans. 

Experience with the operation of standard office equipment (phones, computer, fax, and copiers).

Ability to lift up to 30 lbs unassisted.

Recent experience at NATSC Newport as a Warehouse Specialist or equivalent.

Valid driver’s license, clean driving record.
Must have Interim Secret clearance to start on program and obtain final Secret to remain on program.

Must be able to pass a DOT physical.

Preferred Qualifications

Hold a valid, clean, and State of Rhode Island, Massachusetts driver’s license.

Previous experience supporting warehousing activities, securing material to flatbed truck utilizing chain binders and straps, making deliveries, obtaining required signature documentation.

This role is covered by the Service Contract Act. This position will pay $20.65 per hour.
